Ashes in paintings by April O'Brien.

The one thing we will all face is death. It is inevitable. I do landscapes. I add the ashes to the paint of those that have gone before us. I know this is not for everyone, so please if this offends you click off now.

I like to think of my paintings as peaceful places to remember those that have gone before us.

One day my daughter was watching me paint. She said "Mom, when I die, I want you to paint a picture and put some of my ashes in it." I laughed and told her that I would go before her so she better learn to paint so she could paint one with my ashes in it, but things don't always work out as they are supposed to... So one day I did as she asked. I painted a place that I thought was serene and peaceful with her ashes in it. I hope she likes it as I hope you and your loved one will also like the idea.

Paintings are either 16x20 or 14x11. Prices are $250.00 for large, $169.00 for smaller version. All are framed. Shipping and Ins. is $20.00
